Shawn and I recently spent the day in Mystic Seaport and it was lovely! It was nice escaping the hustle and bustle of NYC and walk the streets of a different environment. This meant, I had very little time to spend on getting ready in the morning to avoid cutting into our one day adventure. On days like this, I throw on what I like to call an "off duty" outfit. Extremely laid back but still always fashionable.
I decided to keep it simple by wearing boyfriend jeans, and my lace up espadrilles. The lace detail of these shoes allowed me to channel my inner ballerina. Finalizing my off duty look was with this H&M pastel tote that was large enough to carry all of my travel essentials.
As per usual, I was more excited about the food than anything. There was no way that I would visit a seaport and not take advantage of eating fresh seafood. When my talented chef father (see his work here) and stepmom found out that we were heading to Mystic, they highly suggested their favorite restaurant, S&P Oysters. We trust their food recommendations because they know good food! Lunch at S&P Oysters was simply divine. The seafood stuffed potato skins...AH-MAZING! I could eat those day in and day out. But that's no real surprise to those close to me, because everyone knows my love for all things potato. The seafood pasta was also made to perfection. Just thinking about it makes me want more. S&P has officially been added to our list of favorite restaurants. Hands down.
